Egg Flan. Flan de Huevos is one of the most popular of current trending meals on earth. It’s simple, it’s fast, it tastes delicious. It’s enjoyed by millions daily. They’re nice and they look wonderful. Egg Flan. Flan de Huevos is something that I have loved my entire life.

Today I am making a very traditional recipe, egg flan. This flan can be found in virtually every restaurant in Spain. The flan is so popular that you can buy it in a box at Spanish supermarkets.

To get started with this particular recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can cook egg flan. flan de huevos using 4 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you cook it.

The ingredients needed to make Egg Flan. Flan de Huevos:
  1. Prepare 500 ml milk
  2. Get 120 grams sugar
  3. Prepare 4 eggs
  4. Take 1 tspn vanilla extract

The caramelizing of the sugar and the wait for the flan to cool are the hardest parts of this recipe. Pour the cans of evaporated and sweetened condensed milks, the water, and the eggs into a blender or food processor. Add a pinch of salt to balance the flavors, along with the vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract. I use vanilla bean paste because of the flecks of vanilla.

Steps to make Egg Flan. Flan de Huevos:
  1. Heat 30grams of sugar in a pan until you get a browned caramel to cover the bottom of 6 ramekins
  2. In a large mixing jug mix eggs and sugar well. Warm the milk a bit and add it to egg mixture. Add the vanilla extract to flavour.
  3. Pre heat oven to 180°C. Use an oven tray and fill it with boiling water. Place ramekins in and fill them once they are in the tray. Saves spillages. (That's one of the reasons why I use a jug to mix everything.)
  4. Cook in a moderate hot oven for around 20 minutes or until surface golden brown and skewer inserted comes out clean. Leave to cool before eating

The lid of the 'Flanera' allows the custard to steam which gives a lovely, soft result. The shape is characteristic of Flans all over the world's Spanish speaking countries.. In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar together then add the cooled, infused. Blend all the flan/custard ingredients together until no white streaks are visible.; Strain the mixture through a sieve or muslin cloth to remove any bits of egg and air bubbles.
