  2. Get 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  3. Make ready 1/4 cup mango puree
  4. Prepare 1-2 drops mango essence
  5. Make ready 3-4 pistachios chopped

Steamed Mango Yogurt is just the same of Bengali bhapa doi flavoured with mango. A fusion twist to the traditional bhapa doi. It is easy to prepare with minimal ingredients. It is a luscious ,creamy, mouth watering and delicious dessert.

Steps to make Bhapa doi (Mango flavoured steam yogurt):
  1. Arrange all ingredients.
  2. Now take a mixing bowl, at first mix curd and condensed milk. Beat it very well with hand whisker or spoon. Make sure there is no lump in the mixture. Then add mango puree and mango essence, mix it very well to incorporate everything.
  3. Pour the mixture in ramekin bowls or oven safe bowls. Cover the bowls with aluminium foil so that steam cannot escape. Place the bowls in the cake tin or oven safe plate which is 1/3rd portion filled with water.
  4. Now preheat oven to 350 degree fahrenheit or 180 degree celcius. Place the cake tin into the oven. Steam it for 20 mins. Switch off the flame and keep it inside for another 10 mins. After that take it out from oven and keep it in room temperature for another 20 mins. Now place it in refrigerator for 2 hrs. Garnish with some pistachios and serve it cold.

The fresh mango flavour in it makes it. When you steam doi it becomes bhapa doi while Misti doi is Doi prepared with thickened milk and sweetener. We do not steam the curd/ yogurt to make Misti Doi. I do not use Khowa Kheer to make the dessert, instead, I use condensed milk. Khowa makes it a bit grainy which I do not like.
