  5. Take a pan add ghee then add Cashew nuts get golden in colour and raisins puffed. Add to the pumpkin halwa. Kasi Halwa ready to serve.

It is usually served at South Indian weddings. Peel the cardamom pods and powder cardamom. Peel the skin, discard the seeds and grate ash gourd (white pumpkin). Squeeze out the water from the grated ash gourd using a soft. Kasi halwa or poosanikai halwa is a very popular sweet or snack.
